Ashlie Billingslea an 8th grader at Shamrock Middle School played

with the 13U Georgia Magic team as they placed 2nd in the AAU National Championships held in Orlando, FL this past July.
The team ranked 2nd out of 92 teams that participated in the national championship tournament.
Ashlie also played with Shamrock Middle during their 2001/2002 season as the starting point guard while she was in the 7th grade.
Shamrock triumphed over the then undefeated Miller Grove Middle team to become the Dekalb County Middle School Girls Basketball Champions. Ashlie has participated in several college basketball camps on a varsity level including the University of Georgia and Ole Miss as a point guard.
She has been a long time Dekalb County kid...starting out with Gresham Park at the age of 9. She has also played on basketballs teams for Cathedral Academy in South Dekalb county, The Lady Rockets Girls AAU team in which their team ranked #1 in the State of Georgia (2000) and the Georgia Panthers AAU team.
She is also known for pick-up games at many gyms around town and in the community parks and schools.
