If you can't handle pressure than Wheeler is not the team you want to playing against.

Woodstock got a three-pointer from Desmond Lamb to tie the game against Wheeler at 5-5 at the 6:07 mark of the first quarter; after that it was all down hill for Woodstock as the No.1 ranked “Wildcats” turned up the heat.

Applying full-court pressure Wheeler forced Woodstock into several turnovers that resulted into easy basket, most of the crowd-pleasing type. A fastbreak reverse dunk by James Florence opened up a 12-6 lead. Lamb did his best to keep the “Wolverines” in the game as he drilled his 2^nd three-pointer to cut the lead to 12-9.

A 8-0 run spearheaded by dunks from J.T. Tiller and a monster slam by Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy transfer 6-9 James Hickson upped the lead to 20-8 with 3:34 left in the 1^st quarter. Another big-time transfer PG-Adrian Williams (from Westminster) also did his thing, drilling a pair of three-pointers as the lead continued to grow.

Florence who got “Wildcats” off and running with his defensive steals also did it on the offensive end of the court busting out 3 three-pointers as Wheeler took a 33-16 1^st quarter lead.

Head Coach Doug Lipscomb had his “Wildcats” turn up the defensive pressure in the second quarter and it paid off big-time as they held Woodstock to 6 points. Meanwhile Hickson started dominating the paint scoring 8 points. Reserve Corey Tower came in and scored 6 points as the lead blossomed to 58-22 at the half.

Woodstock made a charge in the 3^rd quarter behind the play of Lamb and J. Stagnaro, who knocked down a pair of three-pointers; but it was time for the “Wildcats” Wild, Wild West Show as they got off some vicious dunks, much to the delight of the home crowd. Tiller really lit up the scoreboard with 11 third quarter points as the lead grew to 84-39.   Time” for the “Wildcats”

The 4^th quarter was just a formality as Coach Lipscomb pulled his starters. Tower picked up where he left off when her re-entered the game scoring 9 more points. With time running out in the game reserve Darrell Hubbard drilled a three-pointer to put Wheeler over the century mark, making the final score 101-46.

James Florence scored a game high 22 points including 4 three-pointers to lead 4 Wheeler players in double-figures. J.T. Tiller added  21 points, James Hickson finished with 18 points, Corey Tower had 15 points and Adrian Williams 13 points. Trey Lang chipped in with 8 points.
