Alleluia Anyhow!

Covenant's Christen Devaney
It was an Alleluia! Good time at Victory Christian School during the Independent Christian Schools of Georgia & Alabama (ICSGA) East Region tournament with the two top teams advancing to the state finals.

LCA's Kristina Keeble & Katie Moyers
The Alleluia Angels from Augusta took top honors in both the boys and girls competition going away with impressive wins over their Eastern foes with outstanding play from Noel Wilby and Joe Veihman.

In the girls’ division, the Angels defeated Young Americans Christian School of Conyers and Covenant Christian from Loganville to go into the state competition as the No. 1 seed.

Covenant's jason gresham
The boys from Augusta dominated their competition defeating Green Pastures of Decatur, Young Americans and Loganville Christian Academy.

The Alleluia girls dominated their game against Covenant with a 20-point victory and the Eastern title. The Angels took the lead from the start of the first period and never looked back as the Tournament’s MVP Wilby led her Angels to a 53-33 win and the title.

Alleluia’s boys weren’t as dominate as their sisters escaping with an overtime win against Loganville to claim their Eastern title. Eventual Eastern MVP Veihman, who was unstoppable with his three-point accuracy throughout the tournament, led the Angels.

LCA's Corey Mauney & Josh Cole
LCA ended with a second place finish and host team Victory took home third place honors. Alleluia and LCA will represent the East this Weekend as they travel to Columbia to vie for the state championship held at Columbus State College.

Congratulations to the Alleluia boys and girls, and their top-notch athletic program from 4SHOT Sports!!!

Kudos to the Covenant girls and the LCA boys for their second place finish.
