Redan Raiders versus the Norcross Blue Devils in the boys 5-A final four would be fast pace. Norcross would come out running and strike first with a dunk from Tony Neysmith. Redan would counter with a basket in the paint by Obi Edwards and it would be on. Norcross would end the first period up by 10 points 17-7.
Neysmith would score on a cut to the basket and Gani Lawl would sink a free-throw to instend the Blue Devils lead to 15 points 22-7 with 5:23 to go in the second period. Obi would cut the lead back down to 10 for the Raiders with a steal and a two-handed dunk 24-14 with 2:43 to go in the second period. When all things balanced out at the end of the second period, Norcross carried the 10 point lead into the half 28-18.
Norcross would come out of the half on a 10-3 run, 36-21. Jodie would hit a reverse lay up, Gani a dunk, Brenton Butler a mid-range turn around jumper and things would just get crazy. With :36 seconds left in the third period, Neysmith would get a fast break dunk and Norcross would close the period out up by 15 points 44-29.
The fourth period, Norcross won the game and goes on to meet Beach in the state 5-A Finals.
