Dunwoody vs. Westminster
Miray Seward Lay Away the Lady Wildcats
Dunwoody H.S. – Dunwoody , GA
The Lady Wildcats of Dunwoody High School would take on the Lady Wildcats of Westminster in a close game until the fourth period. It was one thing that was for sure; the Lady Wildcats were going to win. The Ladies from Westminster would enter the game with the better record of 10-2 in region play and 18-4 overall. The Ladies from Dunwoody would have a 14-8 overall record but it was all non-void when the buzzer sounded. Could the Ladies from Dunwoody defend home court or would the 4SHOT Hoops All-Stars Sandra Lynne Fryhofer, Tindall Sewell, and the rest of the Lady Wildcats scratch harder on this night. .
There was no doubt that Westminster was ready for this one, especially sophomore Tindall Sewell, (who by the way look like she may be a shoe in when it comes to the 4SHOT Hoops list of top sophomores) and senior center Sandra Lynee Fryhofer (sounded off on the 4SHOT Hoops radar screen).
With 7:10 to go in the second period, sophomore Jester Elizabeth would drain a three-pointer to give Dunwoody the lead 13-10.
We jump to the third period when Olivia Utt would connect on second straight turn around shot in the paint to give the Ladies from Westminster the lead 23-20 with 4:43 to in third period causing Dunwoody coach Angela Nash to call a timeout to settle her troops.
Miray Seward would score on a lay up to give Westminster the go ahead lead to seal the victory in the fourth period 47-34.

Dunwoody,GA – The game between the Dunwoody Wildcats versus the Westminster Wildcats was over before it started. The Westminster Wildcats would have only one win in region play, while Dunwoody has only lost one in region play.
The LSU signee, Delwan “Da Hitman” Graham would dunk on an alley-oop on a toss from Pierre Jordan for the first play of the game. Neil Holby would connect on a shot off the glass to tie the game at 2’s but Jordan would answer back with a jumper to catapult a run. Delwan would dunk again to move the score to 8-4, causing coach Daniel Searl to call a timeout. Issiah Grayson would nail a three-pointer at the buzzer to end the period with Dunwoody on top 22-6. Westminster would start the second period with 6 players on the floor leading to 2 technical shots for Dunwoody. “Hey I guess you got to try everything in the book.” (lol) Delwan would break the rim on a windmill dunk that would cause his mom to run down to the floor with her own celebration saying, “I ain’t never seen that one before” the Wildcats would move the lead to 35-6 with 5:14 to go in the first half. After that coach Scott Bracco would start a fresh 5 off the bench and everyone would leave. OK not everyone but I did!
Final Score: Dunwoody 83 Westminster 30
KUT WASHINGTON EXCLUSIVE - "DA HITMAN"
 |
| Kut's Korner Exclusive. It could have been a Cold Summer! |
Kut it out:
I remember when I first seen Delwan Graham at Riverwood and with the Atlanta Celtics (AAU), I knew it was something about the kid that was special. Delwan possess a lot of what you can’t give a kid and that’s heart. I remember when I first met him at the barber shop as a sophomore and this female barber was cutting his hair. She knew me but Delwan had no idea that I was the one to give him the name Da Hitman. She was telling me about how good he was and he play for Dunwoody blah blah blah blah! I told him Anjuan the man over there and he just smiled still not knowing. Now the young kid that once got his hair cut ever other week is not becoming a man. While watching Delwan play in a game, I told my partner Jabari “Klapp” Glapion that you have to been strong in that paint or Delwan will take you out like a HITMAN.
Kut Personal: Now Delwan as you head to LSU (Louisiana State University) to continue your career. Keep God first, get your degree, stay out of trouble and make your family proud. If you graduate without a job I got one for ya! Not many can successfully take out a hit like you!
Peace! Holla at me!
