Monticello 52 – Landmark Christian 44
The lady Hurricanes from Monticello pulled off one of the biggest first round upsets knocking off top seeded Landmark Christian on their home court 52-44 as Brittany Standifer poured in a game high 24 points. Diamond Hunnicutt finished her outstanding career with Landmark scoring 22 points.
Aquinas 41 – Providence Christian 39
In an exciting low scoring affair the Lady Fighting Irish from Aquinas overcame an almost disastrous 4 point first quarter to hold off a Providence Christian team that only scored 5 points in the third quarter 41-39. Ciara Morris scored a game high 18 to lead the way.
Terrell County 63 – Jenkins County 51
No. 1 ranked Terrell County got a bigtime performance from Shayla Jester who scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Lady Greenwave to a hard fought win over Jenkins County. Her teammate 4SHOT Hoops All-Star Monshay Thomas recorded a double-double of her own with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Nicole Smith took game high scoring honors scoring 27 for the Lady Eagles.

Savannah Christian 43 – Bleckley County 36
Bleckley County got 18 points from Tyresha Williams but it wasn’t enough as the Lady Royals watched a 6 point lead evaporate in the forth quarter as they fell to the No. 1 seed Savannah Christian 43-36. Adrienne DeFilippis paced the winners with 12 points.
Rutland 36 – Calhoun 28
In a low scoring affair the Lady Hurricanes from Rutland got 15 points and 8 boards from center Kendra Grant to beat the Lady Yellow Jackets from Calhoun.
Buford 47 – Putnam County 39
Putnam County led 24-18 at the half but scored only 15 point in the second half points and fell to Buford 47-39. Blache Alverson (18) and Jocelyn Donley (14) combined for 32 of the teams 47 points to lead the way. Kandi Harrison who scored 11 led Putnam County. 4SHOT Hoops All-Star Brittani Jones was held to just 7 points.
Dublin 49 – McIntosh County Academy 45
The Lady Fighting Irish from Dublin behind the play of Jalisa Denson outscored McIntosh County Academy 17-10 in the forth quarter to over come a three-point third quarter deficit to pull out a heart-stopping 49-45 win. Denson finished wit ha game high 25 points outscoring McIntosh’s Jalisa Reed, who scored 21.
Dodge County 78 – Brantley 47
Nisha Walker and Tahitia Butler scored 18 and 14 points respectively as the Lady Indians from Dodge County thumped Brantley. Jordan Wainwright scored a game high 20 points in a loosing effort.
Laney 72 – Early County 48
Looking to get back to the Final Four, Laney playing in front of their home fans jumped out to a 39-21 halftime lead and cruised into the second round of the state playoffs with a sound 24 point win over Early County. Nicole Walden and Glentrice Sapp each scored 19 for Laney. 4SHOT Hoops All-Star Trya Johnson added 14. Nett Reed had an outstanding game for Early County wit ha game high 22 points.
Josey 41 – Cook County 32
Decharta Benning scored 14 points to lead the Lady Eagles to a 41-32 win over Cook County.

Southwest, Macon 56 – Columbus 41
4SHOT Hoops All-Star Parrisha Simmons turned her game up a notch with her team only leading by 3 points against Columbus heading into the forth quarter scoring 8 of her 15 points and hauling down 9 of her game high 25 rebounds as the Lady Patriots pulled away from the Lady Blue Devils. DeAnna Coleman and Angela Hill added 13 and 11 respectively.
Hardaway 77 – Northeast, Macon 58
The Lady Golden Hawks from Hardaway in Columbus, GA dominated the boards and Kelly Ellison scored a game high 25 points as Hardaway blew away the Raiderettes from Northeast, Macon. Maria Bond finished with 12 for Northeast.
Hephzibah 71 – Dougherty 40
The Lady Rebels are on the warpath and it doesn’t appear if they are taking any prisoners as the jumped all over Dougherty 71-40. Julia Alexander led a balance Hephzibah attach scoring 15 points. Aubern Marshall added 12 while Aarika Judge 11 and Jasmine Judge each finished with 11. Dougherty got 15 from Tiffany Anderson.
Glenn Hills 74 – Crisp County 29
Ciara Lyons almost outscored Crisp County by herself with a game high 25 points in a lopsided 74-29 affair. Crisp County managed to score only 12 points in the second half.
Liberty County 55 – Westover 40
Georgia Tech bound seniors Metra Walthour and Laquanisha Adams combine for 38 points for Liberty County as they ended season for the Lady Patriots from Westover 55-40.
Monroe Area 56 – Villa Rica 53
4SHOT Hoops All-Star Brittany Kirkland and teammate Dee Gober scored 15 and 14 points respectively to lead the Lady Purple Hurricanes to a tough 3 point win over Villa Rica. Gober and Maya Brown each grabbed 10 rebounds to aide in the win.
Franklin County 68 – Central Carroll 17
The Lady Lions are out to take care of some unfinished business from last year after falling in the state 3A finals to East Hall and they started in impressive fashion as they trounced Central Carroll 68-17. 4SHOT Hoops All-Star Ashley Harris scored 13 to lead the way. Katie McFarlin and Jacquie Williams each chipped in with 11. By the way Franklin County will host East Hall in the second round of the playoffs on Wednesday.

Northside-WR 53 – Northgate 37
4SHOT Hoops All-Star sophomore Tai Brown scored 17 points and teammate Josie Oliver added 11 as the Lady Eagles advanced to the second round of the state playoffs with a 53-37 win over Northgate. Natalie Pluskopa scored 12 to lead Northgate,
Americus-Sumter 67 – Brunswick 63
4SHOT Hoops All-Star Abril Peeples fought off tears after re-injuring her knee in the first half against Brunswick, but like the lady warrior she is, she came back and blocked a three-point attempt by Brunswick’s Jessica Roberts to propel the Lady Panthers into the second round of the state playoffs. Peeples teammates more than picked up the slack for their injured teammate. Kierrah Dowdell 15 points, 10 rebounds, Deatric Smith 15 points, 19 rebounds and Jayme Gilbert 16 points, 10 steals all recorded double-doubles
Statesboro 50 – Lee County 32
4SHOT Hoops All-Star and Georgia Tech signee Mo Bennett from Statesboro scored 21 points to help lead the top seeded Lady Blue Devils to a convincing 18 point win over Lee County. Lindsay Crawford scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in a loosing effort for Lee County.
Clarke Central 58 – St. Pius 47
The two-year rein at the top of girls Class AAAA basketball ended Saturday night for St. Pius at the hands of the Lady Gladiators from Clarke Central. 4SHOT Hoops All-Star Terra Branch scored 19 points to lead the way. Aja Sorrells also came up big with 13 points and Brittni Johnson dished out 8 assists and recorded 6 steals.
Madison County 62 – Marist 54
In one night the two finalists from last years 4A Championship game (St. Pius and Marist) fell to the 1 and 2 seeded teams from Region 8A. Madison County behind the play of 4SHOT Hoops All-Stars Courtney Freeman and Tiawanna Allen knocked off another 4SHOT Hoops All-Star Fraderica Miller and Marist. Allen scored 20 points and grabbed 10 boards, while Freeman added 12 and 10. Kayla Freeman, Courtney’s freshman little sister also recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Southwest Dekalb 71 - Heritage 26
No. 1 ranked Southwest DeKalb had little trouble with Heritage in their first round state playoff as they rolled the Lady Patriots 71-26. The win moves the Lady Panthers into the second round as they play host to Northwest Whitfield on Wednesday night.

Marietta 70 – North Gwinnett 49
As on of the favorites to get to the Final Four the Lady Blue Devils from Marietta didn’t appear to feel any pressure in their first round game as they blew out North Gwinnett behind the play of their two 4SHOT Hoops All-Stars Sr.-Christy “Pistol Pete” Leverette and Jr.-Telia McCall. Leverette and McCall scored 20 and 18 points respectively.
Bradwell Institute 72 – Warner Robbins 65 OT
Warner Robbins star player Symone Wikerson was benched by Head Coach Tom Mobley for the first quarter of their game against Bradwell Institute due to team rules violations and provided the Lady Demonettes with a ticket home as they fell 72-65 in overtime. Warner Robins had a chance to win the game leading in OT by 4 points but down the stretch they missed some big free-throws that ultimately did them in.
Douglass 51 – Newnan 41
The Lady Astros from Douglass have some unfinished business to take care of after reaching the Final Four last season and their quest to completed that business start Saturday night as they knocked off Newnan in the first round of the state playoffs. Douglass was led by 4SHOT Hoops All-Stars Raven Buchannan and Morgan Jennings as they scored 21 and 11 points respectively. Newnan got 16 from their 4SHOT Hoops All-Star Caneisha Edwards.
Redan 56 - Morrow 34
The surging Lady Raiders from Redan are quitely going about their business as they look to make their way back to another Final Four. Saturday night they stormed into the Morrow gym and raided the place as they corraled the Lady Mustangs with a relatively easy 56-34 win.
