Stephenson blanks McNair
McNair offense sputters

Decatur - Stephenson (1-0 overall, 0-0 region 2-AAAAA) opened up their season with an impressive victory over McNair (0-1 overall, 0-0 region 5A-AAA) in a non-region battle at Hallford Stadium Saturday.

McNair’s defense came out tough to open their season, but the Jaguars’ offense proved to be a little more prepared putting up 21 points.
The Jaguar defense looked to be in mid-season form holding McNair scoreless in the game.
Although Arnold Walker had a respectable outing, it wasn’t enough to settle down that ferocious Jaguar defense.

The Jaguar offense found a weakness in the Mustang defensive front and abused it often with junior running back Raymond Sanders plunging through and darting around McNair’s defense all night.
The Jaguars take on Columbia Saturday at Hallford.
