Patriots embarrass Bulldogs
"Heritage run up 305 yards in 51-13 victory" Evans Memorial Stadium - Conyers, GA
 |
| Winder QB Christian Davila tough night. |
The Heritage(2-2 overall, 2-2 Regiopn-8-AAAA) defense abused the Winder-Barrow Bulldogs (0-3 overall, 0-3 Region-8-AAAA) offense worst than Michael Vick abused his Pit Bulls in a 51-13 thrashing Friday at Evans Memorial Stadium.
The Patriots jumped on the Doggs quickly to take a 30-0 lead to the locker room at the half.
The Doggs were limited to minus-39 total yards in the first half.
Overall, the Patriots ran up 305 total offensive yards compared to just 36 for Winder-Barrow.
Heritage’s defense led by Justin Jones (2 fumble recoveries) out manned Winder-Barrow’s offense for the entire confrontation.
The Patriots’ offense, led by Khairi Nash was just too much for the Doggs to sink their teeth in.
Heritage special teams contributed as well with a 74-yard punt return by Martell Jones to add to the Bulldogs’ woes.
The defense even scored on the Doggs causing Winder’s QB Christian Davila to cough up the ball in the end zone for a safety.
It was a horrid experience for the visitors from Winder-Barrow as the Patriots added their final score of the game on a 44-yard touchdown romp by Devon Holmes with 3:42 remaining to play.
The Heritage defense was just as strong in the final minutes of the game as they were from the start denying Winder any positive yards on offense to send the Doggs running home with their tales between their legs.
