A few weeks ago I went over Milton H.S. to get a closer look at their highly touted boys team that features 6-9 sophomore Julian Royal; I got there early so I decided to check out the girls game and bam I saw this girl handling the rock, going strong to the basket and sticking the jumper. Upon further investigation I found out that this 5-9 diamond was a junior and had made her way to North Fulton via Spokane, WA. I met with the “Spokane Comet” to get the “UnKUT” version of her game and the person.

L.A.: Tell the “Other” players your full name, that way when they get schooled they will remember who schooled them?
Kris: Kristina Alexis Breanne King
L.A.: Just in case they can’t remember you full name, do you have a nickname we can throw at them?
Kris: haha yes, Kris is just fine
L.A.: What school do you attend and what is your school classification (freshman, sophomore etc.)?
Kris: Milton High School and I am a junior
L.A.: Which AAU program do you play for in the summer?
Kris: I play for the Georgia Nike Elite
L.A.: Are you originally from Atlanta, GA, if not where are you from?
Kris: No, I am originally from Washington State
L.A.: Who have been some of the most influential people in your life?
Kris: My mom, my dad, sister, and best friend
L.A.: What has been one of the most memorable moments in your athletic career so far?
Kris: When I was chosen to play in the Jack Blair Memorial game
L.A.: I did my homework; the Jack Blair Memorial Classic is an annual all-star game that pits the best players from Northern Idaho against the best players from the Spokane, WA area. The event is named after Jack Blair who co-founded the highly touted AAU program the Spokane Stars, who I have had the pleasure of covering at the AAU Nike Championships in Augusta, GA.
L.A.: What moment(s) would you most like to forget?
Kris: My sophomore year game against Medical Lake H.S. to get to State
L.A.: Who has been one of the toughest players you ever had to play against and who is the best high school player you personally have ever seen?
Kris: Angie Bjorkland
L.A.: Tell me something about yourself that people wouldn’t know by just looking at you?
Kris: hmmm… even though on the court I’m really intense, I am usually pretty shy
UnKUT: Not everybody can handle it when you come at them “Un-KUT” but on Street Talk everything is “UnKUT”, no bias, no allegiances except to GOD and no make believe. Nobody can do you like you, so give it to them “UnKUT”

L.A.: As an athlete is it easier to get a date or harder?
Kris: It’s easy getting a date… finding time and getting past dad is the hard part
L.A.: Do you get special treatment at home because you play sports?
Kris: ehh… not really because our whole family plays sports
L.A.: Can you cook, and I don’t mean boil an egg (laugh)?
Kris: haha yes I can cook
L.A.: Who is your favorite teacher in school?
Kris: hmm… probably Mr. Forte because he makes history fun
L.A.: Which subject do you like most and which subject do you like least?
Kris: I like English the most and I dislike math
L.A.: What do you think you need to work on to take your game to the next level?
Kris: My defense and body control
L.A.: If you could change anything in the world today what would it be?
Kris: Our economy
L.A.: Ok keep it real now, do you use the fact that you are an athlete to sometimes get your way?
Kris: hahaha oh never!! haha
L.A.: How does summer ball (AAU) differ from the regular season and do you like playing AAU ball more?
Kris: You have more freedom so yes I like it way more
L.A.: What do you want to do after your basketball career is over?
Kris: I want to be a lawyer

Kris: ehh mostly rap/hip-hop / r&b umm probably right now its T-Pain
L.A.: What is your favorite TV Show and Movie?
Kris: Favorite movie: Love and Basketball; Favorite TV show: Gossip Girl / CSI
L.A.: If you could meet anyone in the world (past or present) who would it be and why?
Kris: I would want to meet President Obama to congratulate him b/c wow he is amazing
