| Rolaids ain't the only thing that relieves. Relievers (Jr.) Carl VanBeber and (Sr.) Kenny Stack do as well. (l-r) |
Norcross, GA - It didn’t take long for the undefeated (3-0) Kell “Long Horns” to get on the board as they took a 2-0 lead against yesterdays game hero Tyler Roach in the top of the first inning. Roach didn’t fair to well on the mound as he game off in the third inning in favor of junior reliever Carl VanBeber. The Blue Devils would tie things up in the bottom of the fifth inning when Danal Slay would come up to bat driving in a run on a base hit to move the score to threes. In the top of the sixth inning Kyle Ciotti, Michael Kauss and John Duran would all get base hits to move the score to 6-3. The Long Horns would bring in senior reliever Kenny Strack to silence the Blue Devils bats and go ahead to win this one by 4 points.
Final Score: Kell 7 Norcross 3
The Blue Devils will look to turn things around as they travel to Pensacola Florida on next Monday. The Long Horns on the other hand will try to continue their undefeated ways against the “Raiders” from East Paulding at home at 5:55 PM tomorrow.
Norcross “Blue Devils” vs. Dunwoody “Wildcats”
Blue Devils get it done in extra innings.
Consider Tyler Roach the hero.

| Hudson Randall 7 innings and Forrest Garrett 6 innings. |
Norcross, GA - Wasn’t much to say about this one, as both teams had great pitching. The Norcross “Blue Devils” start their season at 2-1 and the Dunwoody Wildcats are undefeated at 2-0. The Wildcats starting pitcher Hudson Randall would take the mound average about a strike out an innings, while on the other hand the Blue Devils starter Forrest Garrett would strike out more consecutive batters.
Things would be knotted up at zero until a controversy play at home plate would give the Wildcats the first score of the game 1-0 on a score by Cory Meeks in the top of the 4th inning. The Blue Devils would have one last chance to tie it for extra innings in the bottom of the 7th. With senior super slugger Tyler Roach leading off with a double, Beau Buckler would drive him in on shot to right field to tie the game for extra innings. The Wildcats would get a chance to increase the score in their favors but the Blue Devils called in the closer, Nathan Mitzel who silence the bats in the 8th inning. Wanting to go home early, Roach must have heard me as he drove in Ross Spiller on a hit pass the short stop to seal the victory.
Final Score: Norcross 2 Dunwoody 1 (8 innings)
The Blue Devils will look to keep their winning was as they invite the Kell “Longhorns” to Norcross on tomorrow at 6:00. The Wildcats will have to regroup against Columbia Friday at home.
Message of the Week!
Matthew 17:20 Jesus said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you if you have faith the size of a mustard seed you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”
Situation: Jeremy Coles missed the bus and his team was playing out of town. Jeremy couldn’t believe he missed the bus with no way to get to the game. He begin to pray and have faith that the Lord would turn the bus around. When Jeremy opened his eyes the bus was there.
