Such stars as Tyrone Beaman from Neuman High School (Grad-Univ. of Tennessee), Tim Winn from LaSalle High School (Grad-St. Bonaventure), Dewitt Doss from LaSalle High School (Jr-Canisus College) and most recently DeMonti Johnson from Niagara Falls High School (Fr-Gannon University) have graced the courts.
Well keep your eye on freshman Byron Mulkey out of Niagara Wheatfield High School in Sanborn, NY right outside of Niagara Falls. Mulkey a 5-9" guard is averaging close to 20 points per game for Coach Joe Casale’s "Falcons". Mulkey has produced games of 29, 26, 26, 25 and 22 points this season.
The freshman is not only an outstanding young player but also excels in the class room, carrying a 95 grade average which has landed him on the Niagara Wheatfield School's "Honor Roll".
The future looks really bright for this high soaring young Falcon and if he continues to develop at the rate he is you can add his name to that list of outstanding guards that have come out of Western New York.
