The Atlanta Celtics AAU program year in and year out have some of the top talent

| Day is the settling influence on an oustanding Atlanta Celtics 17U team. |
not only from the state of Georgia but from around the country playing for their teams. A few years ago a young freshman phenom out of Vidalia High School in Toombs County, GA. joined the “Celtics” and from then on it wasn’t just another day in the “Celtics” camp. The young phenom was 6-4 Dwayne Day.
That freshman is now a 6-6 smooth operator who is heading into his senior season now at Montgomery County High School and is one of the top players in the country. With all of the talent on the “Celtics” 17U team (6-11 Dwight Howard, 6-9 Josh Smith, 6-11 Randolph Morris etc.) I think Day is the teams settling influence.
At 6-6 he has a smooth handle, he can drill the long range jumper, take you off of the dribble and “D” you up if need be. I think he’s a complete player, don’t get me wrong there is always room for improvement and there is no doubt he will get that at some big time college program.
As a freshman and sophomore at Vidalia High School, Day averaged close to 20ppg. He went for scoring highs of 36 and 38 points.
Last season as a junior Day led Montgomery County High School to the Georgia High School Class 1A semi-finals against his AAU teammates Howard and Javaris Crittendon from Southwest Atlanta Christian, where they lost.
Day capped off an outstanding junior season by being named 1st team All-State in Class 1A along with Howard and Morris his other 6-11 “Celtics” teammates.
Once again this summer Day will be making the rounds to the top basketball camps like the invitation only Adidas ABCD Camp in Teaneck, New Jersey and a few others. He has already gone to the NBA Top 100 Players Camp were he played very well.
Dwayne is not your average baller and he has a great future ahead of him and when he steps on the court to play “Its not just another Day”.
