If it’s not called a rivalry game, well maybe it’s called a revenge factor. The last time these two schools met up was in the first round of the 2005 state football tournament, with SWD pulling an upset over the number one ranked Tigers. Would the same thing happen in basketball?

Westlake captures 5-3A Crown

Westlake's Jerome Burney (a Maryland signee) rises up to slam down 2 over a Dunwoody defender.

If Saturday nights Region 5-3A Championship game between No. 2 ranked Dunwoody and undefeated No. 1 ranked Westlake (all according to the 4SHOT Hoops Rankings) was reminiscent of their first battle a few weeks ago then I can’t wait until Round 3 when they match up in the state finals.

In the 3rd place game M.L. King dropped Druid Hills.

The 4SHOT Hoops number one team in the state of Georgia, Wheeler would take on a Warrior team from Cherokee High in the regional finals for a night to remember. Coach Doug Lipscomb would have his Wildcat team ready for battle to gain its fifth regional title in 7 years.

It was Senior Night for the Peachtree Ridge Lions as they invite the Norcross Blue Devils to participate. Everyone knows that senior night is equivalent to playing a team for homecoming in football. The number two-ranked team in the state wouldn't take the gesture so well. This is what happens! (Hiesman or Neysmith)

Senior Trent Price poured in 9 points.

The game between the Early County Bobcats versus the Thomasville Bulldogs was one to remember on senior night. Since the girls did their thing with a victory. It would make no sense for the boys to not follow suit. Thomasville’s Ladarius Hall would nail a three-pointer to begin every period except the fourth.

Lee Coleman is ranked 38 in the state via 4SHOT Hoops Burning 50.

The Wesleyan Wolves welcomes the Vikings of East Hall into town to take their number one class AA ranking. The gym would be pack with only elbow to standing room and the crowd would pump up the Wolves. Lets see if the Viking can burst the bubble.

The Wesleyan Wolves versus the Spartans of Greater Atlanta Christian would be as usual, a rivalry game. The news got reported that there was a beep at Wesleyan, so I jumped in the beep mobile to see what was happening. Once I got on the scene, I found out that it was only a false alarm.
