When the Eastside Eagles (11-1) ran on to Homer Sharp Stadium’s turf, they jaunted out with a noticeable swagger of a dominating nature that carried over to a 21-9 victory over the Carrollton Trojans (9-3) in the second round of the Class-AAA state playoffs.

Tonight’s first round 2008 state of Georgia playoff game between the 10-0 Jackson “Red Devils” versus the 5-5 Thomson “Bulldogs”, wouldn’t be nothing less than hard hitting. The game was post pone on Friday due to the rain but there was nothing stopping it from kicking off Saturday.

Atlanta, GA – During pre-game warm-ups you could see and feel the festive atmosphere at Lakewood Stadium for Benjamin E. Mays Homecoming and as the band marched into the stadium you knew it was on. But it didn't faze the Trojans from Banneker who spoiled the party.
