3A Finals - South Atlanta vs. Westover (Boys)
Macon, GA – The last time head coach Michael Reddick and the South Atlanta “Hornets” visited the state final four in 2003 they came up short against the Griffin “Bears”. The Hornets arsenal in 2003 featured Georgia Mr. Basketball Vincent Banks. This year’s arsenal features the player of the year and Mr. Georgia Basketball in Derrick Favors

Macon, GA – Buford freshman Andraya Carter playing in her first state championship game played like a seasoned veteran making plays all over the floor as the Lady Wolves won the school’s first basketball state championship.

Macon, GA –Wesleyan is on the verge of becoming a dynasty in Class 1A basketball, I know that’s a strong statement but the numbers don’t lie as Coach Jan Azar and her Lady Wolves just won the 2nd straight state chamionship and their 5th in seven years.

Duluth, GA – After losing twice in the regular season to the Wheeler “Wildcats”, the Milton “Eagles” look to turn things around in the Georgia High School Association class 5-A finals. The Wildcats have come up short in the state finals in their last 2 tries, losing one to the Norcross “Blue Devils” and the other to the Beach “Bulldogs”.

Duluth, GA – What a difference a year makes, last seasons with a team full of sophomores Redan lost their composure and the state championship game but this time around Head Coach Rhonda Malone’s team hit the floor a more mature and composed team primarily made up of juniors and drilled Marietta to win their first state championship.

Duluth, GA – The Lady Panthers from Southwest DeKalb are the defending state champions and they came out and played like it as they knocked off the No.1 ranked and undefeated Lady Tigers from Fayette County to repeat as the Class 4A State Champions.

Macon, GA – The Lady Wolves from Wesleyan knocked down three-pointer after three-pointer as they rolled over Randolph-Clay to advance on to another state championship game and a chance to three-peat as state champions.
