| The GA Metros and Orlando Comets each won championships in their respective divisions. |
Maya Moore and her Georgia Metro teammates left last years Nike Nationals with a bitter taste in their mouths after loosing in the semi-finals; well that taste has been replaced with the sweet nectar of a Gold Division Championship. The Orlando Comets escaped a Storm out of California and caught some falling Stars to win the Silver Division crown.

On the Final Day of action there were a number of Consolation Games, but all eyes were on the two Championship Showdowns that were set to get underway. With the GA Metros 15U prepped to face All-Ohio Red and West Coast Elite geared to go up against the Alabama Roadrunners, it certainly looked like today was going to be a good day for some ball.

On the third day of tournament action, it was time to separate the girls from the women. The games today will decide who will make that next step towards championship round play. With quarterfinal and semifinal action on tap, day three would be a day of reckoning.

The action really picked up on Day 2 of the Showtime Nationals and I’m sure it was because the players noticed the increased number of college recruiters and fans sitting in the stands.

The 2006 Fab Five Camp featured some of the top 80 division one recruits in the country. The camp provides young ladies the opportunity to showcase their skills and abilities in front of major college coaches. The two day event would conclude with 2 all star games compose of the underclassmen team of 2008-09 and the upperclassmen team of 2007 players.

The Georgia Hawks - Team 1994 (11U) finished in a two way tie for 2nd place at the 1st annual Georgia Hawks Invitational this weekend (3/31 - 4/2) at GACS. The event was extraordinarily competitive (5 of 6 teams are the defending AAU 10U State Champions), and the girls were challenged to compete in every game.

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Adidas Showtime National Championships, a "Michael T White" production. The tournament consists of some of the nation's top 17U, 16U and 15U AAU teams. With a 6 game minimum in 3 brackets, only 3 of the 96 participating teams could be crowned champion in their division.

The USA Stars under the direction of Guy Coleman held it's inaugural "Best of the Best" All-American Camp at Riverdale High School in Riverdale, GA and judging by the talent and the number of college recruiters on hand it looks like it's going to be around for some time.

It seemed only fitting that one of players that Wallace Prather had a chance to help nurture as an Atlanta Celtic step up and put on a show and one did, Jarvis Crittenton from SACA. Crittenton capped off a great camp by scoring a game high 25 points and dishing out 7 assists as he led the White-Superstars Team to victory enroot to being selected the games “Most Valuable Player”.
