Albany, GA - After coming close the last couple of years the “Lady Raiders” from Riverdale High School rode the wings of senior Tia Perry to capture the schools 1st Track & Field State Championship.
Needing a victory in the meets final event of the day the 4x400 Meter Relay to overtake Collins Hill, the “Lady Raiders” went to work.The team of Olds, Davis, Joseph and Perry hit the track and blazed out a 3:47.09 clocking to win the race and the state championship.

Albany, GA - The “Lady Spartans” from North Springs High School didn’t score a point in last year’s state championships but what a differences a year makes.
Like Riverdale in Class 5A, North Springs needed a win in the meets last event the 4x400 Meter Relay to win the championship and they went out and got it done as Weaver, Usman, Smith and House ran a 3:54.78 to win the gold and a Track & Field Championship trophy.

| Westover's Lakecia Ealey recorded the fastest 100 Meter time in any classifacation during the finals helping to lead Westover to the 3A Championship. |
Albany, GA - Having to take a back seat to rival Monroe High School in the last three state championships the “Lady Patriots” from Westover High finally took home the state trophy and city bragging rights as they scored 108 points to dethrone the 3-Time state champions.
A big reason for Westover’s win was the performance of sprinter Lakecia Ealey. Ealey went out and dominated the sprints winning the 100 Meters in a time of 11.72, which was the fastest time run in the finals for any classification.

| Holy Innocents' hoop star Christy Brown defended her 100 and 200 Meter Titles in helping her team to the 2A State Championship. |
Albany, GA - The “Lady Golden Bears” from Holy Innocents’ were the 4th team on the final day of action to win their 1st State Track & Field Championship and leading the way was basketball all-star and defending 100 and 200 Meter Champion Christy Brown and distance runner Haley Kolff.
Brown who was battling a sore ankle went out and cut loose a jump of 18’-5 ¼” to win the Long Jump smashing the Class 2A State record in the process.

| Sierra Hill crosses the last 100 Meter Hurdle of her high school career. In 4-years at the State Championships the Clemson signee was undefeated in both the 100 and 300 Meter Hurdles. |
Albany, GA - Landmark Christian which has dominated Class A winning the last three state championships added a 4th straight championship trophy and one of the big reason why was the outstanding feats of one of the top high school female athletes in the country in senior hurdler Sierra Hill.
The Clemson signee made her last trip to Albany very special, breaking the state record in the 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 13.34 during the heats.
