The Devils would go on a 10-2 run lead by Dukes with a jumper and cannon with a put back. SACA would call a timeout with 4:35 in the first quarter to regroup. After the timeout, Crittenton would drive the lane and dish off a no look pass to teammate Hickson for the dunk, giving SACA a left to brush the storm of the Red Devils. Dukes would score on the inbound alley-oop and the Devils would start an 8-2 run to close the first quarter. Cannon would dunk, followed by a lay up from Dexter Ellington and a put back by Rashaad Lewis. (First Quarter: Red Devils 22 Warriors 13) SACA would make 5striaght free throw to start the second quarter. Javaris would hit 2 and Howard 3. The Warriors would be on a 7-0 run when Hickson would contribute with 2 points in the paint cutting the lead to 3 points 20-23. Dukes would answer with 5:35 with a jump and Crittenton would answer again with 2 of his own on a lay up 25-22. SACA would battle it out against the devils to show them that it wasn’t going to be easy. Nabrenton Murphy for SACA would get a put back to cut the lead to one point 24-25 with 4:15 left in the quarter. Murphy would ring again to give SACA their first lead 28-27 with 2:53 in the game. The lead wouldn’t last long for Dukes and Cannon would hit two free throws each to change the lead back. Lewis would hit 2 points on a jumper and Dukes would follow with a hop step to take the Devils in at the half on a 7-0 run. (Second quarters ends Randolph Clay 40 SACA 32.) Third quarter would continue just as hot as the first one. SACA would hit the score board first with two points from the big man Hickson and the Devils big man Lewis would score also. Crittenton would score 4 straight points and Danny Friend would score in the paint putting the Warriors down 6 points 44-50 with 3:15 left in the third. The Devils would go on a 9-2 run to close out the third. Cannon would score on a Reverse Lay, Cornelius Price would score on a jumper, Ellington and Dukes would hit 2 free throws to put the Devils on top 59- 46. Price would start the third with three points and cannon would score on a turn around jumper in the lane to move the score 64-46, causing SACA to call a timeout. After the timeout, SACA would go on what every team goes on, which is a run. The 16-5 run would include 8 straight points from Crittenton who would refuse to quite. Crittenton would hit 2 three-pointer and lay up to close the deficit to 7 points 62-69, causing the Devils to call a timeout. After the timeout, the Devils would strike first with 4 collective free throws from Dukes and a put back from Cannon for 2 points. The inevitable would seem to happen and the Red Devils would win their second consecutive state championship. Final Score: Randolph-Clay 80 SACA 65.
