UGA coming at you in 3-D

The Athlon Sports 2005 Southeastern College Football Edition breaks down the Georgia Bulldogs and that means featuring 3 of the top running backs in the SEC, Soph-Danny Ware (Rockmart H.S.), RS-Soph-Kregg Lumpkin (Stephenson H.S.) and last freshman sensation Soph-Thomas Brown. Each of these 3 young men came out of high school rated as one of the top RB's in their class in the country now each will blend their skills to help UGA back to the promise land.

Athlon Sports has the Georgia "Bulldogs" ranked No. 14 in the pre-season college football Top 25 poll and list many of their plays on their pre-season All-Star teams. Jr.-Leonard Pope a 6-8/247lb TE from Americaus H.S. and Sr.Max Jean-Gilles a 6-4/340lb OG were named 1st team All-Americans. Former Pebblebrook H.S. star So.-Thomas Flowers a 5-10/197lb CB was also named to the 1st team as a Punt Returner.

Other former local area stars now playing for UGA that were honored in the pre-season edition included freshman sensation and former Tucker H.S. star
So-Thomas Brown a 5-8/180lb RB (who led the team in rushing last season with 875 yards (6th best in the SEC) and eight TD's, which also led the team) and former Banneker H.S. "Hit-Man" Sr.-Greg Blue a 6-2/214lb FS. Each was named to the 2nd Team.

Representing the "Bulldogs" on the 3rd team were Sr.-Greg Anderson (6-2/315lb NG from Ware Co. H.S.), Sr.-Kedric Golston (6-4/293lbs DT from Sandy Creek H.S.), So.-Danny Ware (6-1/216lb RB from Rockmart H.S.), Sr.-Tim Jennings (5-8/178lb CB), Jr-Gordon Ely-Kelso (6-2/234lb P from Clarke Central H.S.) and Sr.Russ Tanner (6-4/297lb C from Johnson County H.S.).
