4SHOT Sports Street Talk - "Live in L.A." L.A. "Keeping it Real" with Jelly Street Talk caught up with Avondale High School’s Angelica Mealing after a tough workout with her AAU basketball team the Georgia Hoopstars. I got a chance to sit down and “Keep it Real” with the slick handling point guard known as “Jelly”. Jelly: “My moms and all of my coaches” L.A.: “What have been some of the most exciting or most memorable moments in your career so far?” Jelly: “When we won the Regional Championship last year”. L.A.: “What about the moments you would like to forget?” Jelly: “When we lost to Johnson-Gainesville in the quarter-finals of the state playoffs last year.” L.A.: “What are some of the things you will need to work on this summer to improve your game?” Jelly: “My defense and continuing to work on my jump shot.” L.A.: “What’s the strongest part of your game?” Jelly: “My passing and dribbling.” L.A.: “Now, I have been watching you play since your middle schools days and I was amazed at how well you saw the whole court and handled the ball at that age, how did you acquire those skills?” Jelly: “I practiced all of the time and played against the boys.” L.A.: “Who has been one of the toughest players you have had to guard, somebody who you said, man she is tough?” Jelly: (a long pause) L.A.: “Now were keeping it real, so if there wasn’t anybody out say it ….I feel you!” Jelly: “I can’t think of anybody, but I know that there is somebody out there, but not really in high school but in AAU.” Jelly: “North Carolina, LSU, Tennessee, UConn, and UGA.” L.A.: “Are you going to any camps this summer or have you already gone to some?” Jelly: “I might go to a couple, I was invited to an invitational only camp that I might also go to.” L.A.: “Is your high school team going to a camp this summer?” Jelly: “Yes, we are going to the Georgia Tech camp in July.” L.A.: “What was the last CD you brought and why?” Jelly: “I have an IPod so I don’t listen to a lot of CD’s, I have a lot of Rap and R&B on my IPod.” L.A.: “How does AAU ball differ from the regular high school season?” Jelly: “In AAU the teams are a lot tougher and it really prepares me for the regular season.” L.A.: “If there was anyone in the world you could meet right now who would it be?” Jelly: “This year it’s Amare Stoudemire and prior to this year it was Alan Iverson and Tracy McGrady” L.A.: “Who your favorite team?” L.A.: “What’s your favorite food?” L.A.: “Nike, Reebok or Adidas?” L.A.: “Sean John or Roca-Wear?” L.A.: “Escalade, Denali, Corvette, Mercedes or Ferrari?” L.A.: “Good Luck, Jelly” If you want to “Keep it Real" on Street Talk …holla at me This is Larry “L.A.” Williams …PEACE! © Copyright 2006 by 4SHOT Sports |
