Carolyn and twin sister, Elise Whitney, will be heading off to Georgia Southern University next season to help the “Lady Golden Eagles” get on the right track. Carolyn is a slick handling point guard who thrives on competition. She has been a major contributor for the “Lady Wolves” since her freshman year. Let’s pick the game up in the fourth quarter, when the Lady Spartans Julio Stephens would score back to back baskets to cut the Wesleyan lead to 35-47 with 4:51 left in the period. The game would really get out of hand when Carolyn Whitney would get a steal and drive the ball the length of the court for 2 points, follow by Elise Whitney 2 points on the same routine. The score would be 55-35 with 3:11 left in the game and Spartans Coach Mike Mitchell would call a timeout. After the timeout, the action would commence with the Lady Spartans Kiara Swanier hitting a big three, followed by a lay up for 5 straight points 61-40. The Lady Spartans tried but didn’t have enough as the Lady Wolves pulled off the victory, 61-43.
