"The Chris Allen Show" On Da Bricks! (X-MAN)

Guess who stop by Kut’s Korner to kick it on Da Bricks? You guessed right, the host of up late night with “The Chris Allen Show”, Chris Allen Himself. Chris reveals what schools have his close eye and what player gave him his toughest Challenge. Check it out!

That boy Chris is not going to smile. I promise.

I had the opportunity to hang out on Da Bricks with Chris Allen, the number 4 ranked player in the junior class for the state of Georgia via 4SHOT Hoops Blazing 50. Allen was named to the 4SHOT Sports 2005 Honorable Mention team and looks to make the first team climb in 2006. Chris let me in on the rundown on his game and his goals. The Meadowcreek High School shooting guard is averaging 28.3 points and 6 assist a game. Find out is it all about “Chris Allen” or the team.

Kut: Who is Chris Allen?

Chris:  A down to earth person.

Kut: What’s your Goal?

Chris: To better my overall game and strive to be the best. I want to be number one.

Kut: Every time you step on the floor with your team. Do you play for the name in front of the jersey or the back?

Chris:  Play for the name on front of the jersey, its all about the team and trying to get a win. That’s what’s going to get us to the next level, because if we are losing no one will be trying to come see us play. So it’s all about the team.

Kut:  What part of your game did you improve over the summer?

Chris:  People started to label me as just a shooter from the summer before and saying that I couldn’t go to the hole. So I worked on my over all game, got stronger and now I take more aggressiveness in taking the ball to the basket. I worked on my defense a lot since everyone said my defense was a weak part of my game.

Kut:  Without actually saying, name five schools that you could see yourself putting a jersey on for?

Chris: Michigan State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech and Florida.

Chris refuse to smile! This is about as close as it gets.

Kut: Who would you say is the most influential people in your life?

Chris:  My aunt Era Fay Mays who recently passed and my mother Janice Allen. They have always been there for me through the good and bad.

Kut: What player have you guarded and might have said to yourself that “man that guy is just as good?”

Chris:  Senario Hillman,(Ranked #1 Junior via 4SHOT Blazing 50) easy. He got that dog in him. Most people try to play timid and wait to I get off. Senario is going to come at you from the start. He isn’t going to let you get off and he's going to make sure he gets his.

Kut: If you had one opportunity to meet any one in the world, who would that be and why?

Chris:  Michael Jordan, I mean he is the best. I would like to just sit around and talk about basketball.

Kut: Who is your favorite NBA player and why?

Chris:  Allen Iverson. Iverson is going to come at you. He got that quote – unquote “Dog”.

Kut: I see that’s what you like that “Dog”?

Chris: Yep. I like that aggressiveness.

Kut: Do you see that in your game?

Chris: I like to say I do.

X-Men part III

Kut: What is something about you that if you didn’t tell someone they would never know?

Chris: That I can dance. Like tick and stuff (popping and locking).

Kut: So your nickname is the X-MAN? Tell me about that?

Chris: Yes sir that's what they call me cause they say x marks the spot when I
shoot and they call me that cause my first name Xavier.

Kut: What’s your favorite food?

Chris: Lasagna

Kut: Nike, Reebok or Jordan

Chris:  Jordan, easy!

Kut: Sean John or Roca-Wear

Chris:  Sean John

Peace Up!

Kut: What’s the last CD you purchased?

Chris:  Lil Wayne “The Carter II”

Kut: Do you like it and is it better than the first one?

Chris:  I like it but it’s not better than the first one. This one he tells more stories like what he been through and the first one he was snapping.

Kut Define (Snapping): for those who may not keep up, snapping means it was good, it was tight, and it was excellent. Now we continue the interview.

Kut: If you had the opportunity to purchase you mom anything, what would it be?

Chris: Anything she asks for. Whatever she wants.

Kut: Thanks for hanging out with me “On Da Bricks”, good luck in the future and let me know first when you sign.

Chris: Alright thanks.
