Vikings sail pass Wolves

Franks Davis proves he is the best.

Marchman Gym - Norcross, GA

Walter Hill is a monster. Can't wait until the 4SHOT Hoops Junior rankings.
The Wesleyan Wolves welcomes the Vikings of East Hall into town to take their number one class AA ranking. The gym would be pack with only elbow to standing room and the crowd would pump up the Wolves. Lets see if the Viking can burst the bubble.

The game between Wesleyan versus East Hall would two of the states best. The Wolves would be powered behind super sophomore Howard Thompkins who has the second highest game score total in the state thus far with 51 points against Providence Christian. The 6’8 center has great post moves but tends to take his game to the perimeter. Thompkins is a great shot blocker and once he hit the weights, the sky may be the limit.

The Vikings would be lead by the 10 ranked player in the state via 4SHOT Hoops Burning 50 in Frank Davis. Here is the run down taking from the 4SHOT Hoop magazine. /“The best shooter in the state of Georgia.” There is a difference between a scorer and a shooter. If you are down by one point with 4 seconds left on the clock, there is no other person to give the last shot to than Frank Davis aka “Straight Shooter”. Davis was named to 4SHOT Sports second team in 2005 and spent his 2005 summer tour of duty with the Georgia Stars. Look for Davis to make a difference on any level. He is most deadly off of screens and set plays. Don’t look for Davis to create off the dribble but don’t give him any space to get a shot off either. Davis has great defense and is known to steal a pass or two. Davis’ game high of 27 points in the 2005 Class AA state championship helped to lead the “Vikings” to victory. Look for Davis to bring the noise as he has a verbal commitment to Tennessee Tech./

Top 5 Sophmore - Howard Thompkin stock continues to increase. Loud beep LA.

With that being said other stars would emerge and step up to the plate. Like East Halls junior Walter Hill and point guard Lee Coleman. The defending state class AA champs versus the challengers, let’s get it on!

The game would get off to a fast start in the first period. Thompkin would put the Wolves on the board first with 2 points off the glass and Hill would answer with a three-pointer from the perimeter. The scoring would continue to pile up as Thompkin would have 12 of Wesleyan 15 points in the first period and Hill would match that total with 12 first period points of his on ending the first period with the score East Hall 23 Wesleyan 15.

In the second period, Frank Davis would come alive nailing 2 three-pointers. Coleman would contribute with a three pointer of his own and the Vikings would look to pull away. (Yeah right) Thompkin would grab a monster rebound and attempt a put back as he is foul, sinking 2 free-throws to cut the lead to only 4 points with 6:15 left in the second 23-27. After a East Hall timeout, Coach Joseph Dix would send the Vikings starting five back in to go on a 9-0 run, capped off by a mid-range jumper from Hill with the score 38-23 2:45 left in the second period. Hill would then get into foul trouble, making an early visit to the bench. Thompkin would try to get the Wesleyan hopefuls back into the game with a gorilla dunk but it would not be enough as they would go into the half to the score East Hall 41 Wesleyan 31.

After East Hall outscored the Wolves 25-17 in the third period, it would end 66-48.

Tennessee Tech got a steal!

In fourth quarter Hill would dunk so hard with 6:45 to move the score to 77-56, everyone would start to leave. The visiting crowd would start to chant “East Hall, East Hall, East Hall….” Coach Dix would put in the second string and close out the game to the score 83-65.
