Super Freshman Anne Marie scores 19 on her 15th Birthday

The girls game between the East Hall Lady Vikings versus the Wesleyan Lady Wolves would be all on the birthday girl. The super freshman Anne Marie Armstrong who states, “I don’t want anything for my birthday but this win was good. I have gifts at home waiting to be open.”  Armstong poured in a game high 19 points and drain3 three’s from the perimeter.

It would be a very low scoring second period. With the score 30-16 in favor of the Lady Wolves. Lisa Coleman would score 3 points in the period for the Lady Vikings and Kelly Hall would double that with 6 points for the Lady Wolves.

In the third period, East Hall would come out on a 10-2 run, started by a jumper in the post by Tierra Washington and Wesleyan would have to take a time out. After the time out Armstrong would drive the ball to the basket and get foul on the and 1. Getting Wesleyan back on the right track. Just when you thought East Hall had a little hope the birthday girl would nail a three from down Atlanta to extend the lead to 15 points 41-25 with 1:15 left in the third period.

Lisa Coleman was die hard.

 

On this night the Lady Vikings would have no answer for Lady Wolves and it’s home crowd as they hold on for the victory 61-40.
