Lady Cats Scratch the Lady Dogs

Brown was big in the paint 28 points 8 rebound 4 blocks.

Senior Shun Brown game high 28 points.

There is no night, like senior night. The Lady Bobcats of Early County High School welcomes the Thomasville High Lady Bulldogs to the prestigious event. Taking center stage would be Senior Shun Brown, Senior Brittany Jones  and sophomore Morah Wright.  The former 2003 Class AA champs would give the Lady Bulldogs all they could handle. Dancing Bob!

Thomasville’s Janay Henderson would play outstanding, carrying the team most of the game. Henderson is very quick off the dribble and can hit the long-range jumper.

Early County’s Charnelle Freeman is next amongst the great forward and centers to emerge. The night would belong to Brown who is a great rebounder and scorer.

With 5:45 in the first period Henderson would hit a big three-pointer to put the Lady Bulldogs up 8-6. Super senior Brown would score 2 back-to-back baskets for the Lady Bobcats, one on a turn around jumper off the glass to catapult a 10-2 run to the score 16-10, causing Thomasville to take a time out with 2:31 left in the first period.  After the timeout, Brittany would score 4 straight points and Coach Mary Brown would emphasis the fundamentals of her girls using the glass.  The Lady Bobcats would close out the first period up big 19-12.

In the second period, Christina Carnage would go to work nailing a three-pointer from my car (I parked a long way) to push the Lady Bobcats lead to 10 points. Just when you though that was good enough, Thomasville’s Henderson would play “Simons Say” and drain a three-pointer from my car also (I parked a long way). Both teams would do their thing in the second period. Henderson would hit 3 three’s and Christina would have a period high 8 points. End of the second period Early County 33 Thomasville 23.

At halftime Dancing Bob would “Lean Wit it, Rock Wit it and Check his Foot Work”

Janay Henderson would play outstanding 25 points 6 three's.

 

In third period, things would get out of hand for the Lady Bulldogs as Morah would nail a three-pointer from you guessed it “my car” (I parked a long way), to put the Lady Bobcats up by 20 points 50-30 with 2:42 left in the period. 

On senior night you know the freshman don’t suppose to play. Charnelle Freeman begs the differ as she enters the game in the final seconds and makes a quick pass to a wide-open teammate that would miss the open shot. Maybe Charnelle will take the shot herself next time.
