Kut’s Korner welcomes back Alumni Lance Storrs to the Cold Summer. Lance first touchdown On Da Bricks and has since committed to play his college basketball at Georgia Tech. Let’s find out what’s been going on with ol’ Skool in the Cold Summer… “The Ice Age Report”.

Let’s cover the basics:

Age? 16 about to be 17 on July 28.

Classification? Senior

Where you from? Dallas, Tx

Current GPA of? 3.5

Favorite Teacher / Grade / Subject? Ms. Grate/ 9/ Math

What’s been going on with you for the summer? Well, I am attending the Nike All-American Camp, then I will be playing in the Peach Jam in Augusta and Nationals and Super Showcase in Florida for two weeks with the Georgia Stars.

Become a basketball analyst and scout yourself? Well, I need to improve in all aspects of my game. Just want to focus more on ball handling and being more aggressive.

What have you done this summer to improve what you consider a weak part of your game? I have worked out several times with Corey McCray with my boy Adrian Williams from Wheeler. Just learned the game a little bit more and how easy it can be.

What’s the toughest player you ever had to face? Well, I have to say Corey Stokes. He has a nice game which he is from New York. Cool guy.

I know your team won state the past season. What’s going to be hardest part about defending the title? We won state and we know everybody is giving us there all no matter what, summer league or a scrimmage game. We have to give it up a 100% every night to defend our crown. My team and I are ready for the test this year.

What’s the difference in playing in a regular AAU game versus an exposure camp? school? Well, in a camp there are the best of the best players in the country all in one building. The spotlight is on you to show what you can do against the nations best high school athletes. In school you have guys who are good but play better in a team oriented offense. Also, plus more freedom to create and show one on one skills in AAU.

What is life after basketball for you? Being a promoter in the business field of sports or becoming a sports medicine doctor.

Who is your favorite NBA player? Kobe Bryant

What’s your opinion on people comparing Dwayne Wade to Michael Jordan? There is no comparison on that MJ been dominating the league for several years and having a new comer being compared to MJ is not worth it. I would say Kobe before anybody.

Which one do you think is the coldest? Allen Iverson crossing up Michael Jordan or Michael Vick splitting two Minnesota Vikings defenders for a touchdown? AI crossing up MJ. Ice cold. lol

What’s the coldest thing you’ve ever done so far in your career? Caught a put back on two defenders. Going to try and do more of that this season.

If you had a choice to live in Alaska or the Sahara Desert which one would it be and why? Alaska, cause I can always put on clothes or find heat to make myself warm.

What would you say to your mother on Mothers Day, other than “Happy Mothers Day”? Thanks for all the wonderful opportunities she has given me to be successful and I Love U!

If you had to trade your vehicle (ride, whip) in for some brand new, what would it be? That’s a good one. I don’t even know.

What’s something about you that if I didn’t ask, no one would know? I am silly and goofy.

What type of music do you enjoy? Rap

What would be your dream vacation? Going to Brazil or Venezuela with my boys for a week.

If you had the opportunity to meet anyone in the world; who would it be and why? Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant. To see what there drive and ambition came from and how to be a successful business man outside of sports.
