4SHOT Sports Football - 2006 Get The Trophy Ready Trey Hunsucker is the best Linebacker in the state. Spartan Stadium - Buford star linebacker Trey Hunsucker was all over the place. Hunsucker might as well been wearing Caleb King jersey, because he was ironing it all night long. Fellow linebacker Jay Tee Swanson would bring the heat from outside, putting the pressure on Chapple, forcing him to make bad passes. The MVP of the game goes to Buford running back Quentin Cantrell who rushed for a game high 153 yards on 25 carries. Cantrell backfield mate in Demetris Murray piled up 88 yards on 13 carries himself. Cantrell would put the first points on the board for the Wolves as he would scramble from 6 yards out with 39 seconds left in the first period and the Spartans faithful would begin to simmer down. With the score 7-0, Buford would scratch the scoreboard again on a run by Maverick Dodd from 1 yard out with five minutes left in the first half. At that point I started to leave the game but I had faith in the King. In the third the King would come alive to help move the Spartans from their 29 yard line to Buford’s 10 yard line. Caleb carried the ball five times on the possession and gave the Spartans hope as he would not run but pass for a 9 yard touchdown to Landon Bennett with In the fourth Cantrell would get back to work for the Wolves on a 19 yard burst and Murray would top it off on a 12 yard scramble to put Buford further out front 20-7 with 10:05 left in the game.
The Spartans would come out on it first possession of the fourth quarter and run 5 straight pass plays that ended with a interception thrown by Spartan quarterback Chapple. Kut Timeout: I don’t know why Caleb King wouldn’t touch the ball none in those possessions. Why take the game out of the kid hand? After the interception it would be time to go. As I packed my camera in my bag, I looked over to my left at the Spartans bench to see the King seating there all alone with his head down. And once again, I called Final Score: Buford 20 GAC 7 © Copyright 2006 by 4SHOT Sports |
