4SHOT Sports 4SHOT Hoops Class 4-A Semi-Finals (Boys) Eagles will meet Tigers in the finals 1st Gwinnett Arena – Duluth The Lions would scratch the boards first on a lay up from Raymond Willis and the Eagles would score on a jumper from Jershon Cobb. The game would be all Eagles in the first period with Cobb nailing consecutive jumpers for a total of 6 points. Darrius Morrow controlling the paint early with 4 points, gave it the feel as if it was going to be a long night for Lions. (End of 1st period: Columbia 17 Westlake 4). Morrow would open up the second period with a strong move to basket to send the Eagles flying high. The key to the second period success would be turnovers by the Lions and the paint control by Morrow. Travis Leslie would throw down a dunk right before the half to put the game away. (Halftime: Columbia 35 Westlake 15) (End of the 3rd period: Columbia 49 Westlake 34) Well the fourth period came and the Lions were too deep in the hole, as the Eagles kept soaring with consecutive baskets by Leslie. The Lions lacked rebound presents in the paint and the composure by the Eagles was priceless.
