4SHOT Sports Football - 2008 Redan rallies to tie Miller Grove
While the offensive units of both teams showed signs of first game jitters, the defensive side of the ball looked to be in mid-season form. However, Miller Grove drove the ball deep into Redan territory to the 10-yard line early in the first period on a 45-yard pass play from Mydrikus Ealey to Steven Miller. On third –and-10 Cedtic Wright went off tackle for the touchdown giving Miller Grove a 6-0 lead with 6:24 showing on the clock in the first period. Redan didn’t score on their possession giving the ball back to Miller Grove at the 45 after a 30-yard punt. The Wolverines scored on a 16-yard pass play from Mydrikus Ealey to Steven Hill to put Miller Grove ahead 12-6 to end the first half. Both defenses tightened their belts to squash all scoring for the better part of the half. Redan’s offense held the ball for the final 10 minutes of the game to finally tie the game at 12 when Ealey rolled out and found Hill in the back of the end zone for the score. Hill had five catches for 85 yards and two touchdowns. © Copyright 2006 by 4SHOT Sports |
