4SHOT Sports Football - 2008 Alexander “Cougars” vs. Mays “Raiders” Mays defense comes up big at the end Raiders move to 4-0 Lakewood Stadium – Atlanta, GA The defenses controlled play in the first-quarter as both offensive units failed to muster up any real scoring threats and the quarter ended with no score. Mays started moving the ball in the second-quarter; their all-star tailback Desmond Walker finally started finding a little running room, which loosened up the Alexander defense. In the forth-quarter Mays linebacker Demario Turner turned in the defensive play of the game when he forced and recovered a fumble by Alexander wingback Greg Brackins. Trailing 7-6 the Raiders capitalized on the turnover when running back Jeric Boyd rambled 16-yards to paydirt for a 12-7 lead. The Raiders missed the extra point. With less than 6:00 minutes left to play in the game Alexander mounted a drive deep into Mays territory; Brackins somewhat made up for his fumble a few minutes earlier when he broke loose for 22-yards to the Raiders twenty-five yard line.
