Benjamin E. Mays “Raiders” vs. Tri-Cities “Bulldogs”

Mays beats Tri-Cities to go 6-0

Walker rushes for 230 and scores 3 TD’s

Benjamin E. Mays running back Desmond "Hollywood" Walker
Atlanta, GA – Week in and week out Mays running back Desmond Walker has put up big numbers and yet I still don’t think that he gets the credit the he deserves for being one of the top running backs in the state. I bet if the Tri-Cities coaches were voting on the Coaches All-State Teams tonight.

I bet the Bulldogs coaches would vote Walker to the 1st Team, especially after the 3 touchdown, 230-yard rushing performance he had against them tonight.

It didn’t take Walker long to put his skills on display; on the first play from scrimmage the 5-10, 185lb senior busted loose for 67-yards and a touchdown to put Mays up 6-0.

Early in the second quarter Walker struck again, this time he out ran the Tri-Cities defenders 71-yards for his second touchdown of the game and a 12-0 lead.

Tri-Cities WR-Jonte Davis stretches out for this catch that was ruled out of bounds.
Walker completed the hat-trick with his third touchdown in the third quarter. Tri-Cities would score a late touchdown to avoid the shutout as their season record fell to 1-4. With the athletes they have on that team it’s shocking to me that their record it what it is.

With the win the Raiders keep their record clean at 6-0 and will probable remain as the states No.2 ranked Class 4A team.

The Final Score:
Benjamin E. Mays 19 - Tri-Cities 6
