4SHOT Sports Football - 2008 Columbia “Eagles” vs. Druid Hills “Red Devils” Columbia celebrates Homecoming win Anthony rushes for over 300 yards with 2 TD's Panthersville Stadium – Decatur, GA You could sense that Anthony was on his way to a big game, on Columbia’s first drive he ripped off runs of 14 and 43 yards to put the Eagles in scoring position at the Druid Hills six-yard line. Quarterback Willie Favors would finish off the drive with a quarterback sneak. Anthony scored the two-point conversion to make the score 8-0. As expected Druid Hills with quarterback Jay Cromwell at the helm came out throwing the ball, Cromwell hooked up WR-Marcel Baugh for 16-yards and a first down out to the Eagles forty-eight. The two hooked up again a few plays later for another first-down at the twenty-four. The drive came to a sudden halt when Columbia’s DL-Shanard Buchanan and DL-Rodrquez Bussey sacked Cromwell for a big loss that forced a punt. Anthony went right back to work for the Eagles busting loose down the sidelines for 39-yards to the Druid Hills twenty-four. Columbia moved the ball to the eleven before the Red Devils defense led by DE-Jonathan Dupree, LB-Jeffery Jennings, DB-Will Smith and LB-Gordon Foulike rose up and stopped them as the first quarter came to an end. With the half winding down the Eagles mounted a drive. A 7-yard run by Anthony converted a forth and six to keep the drive alive. Columbia would finish off the drive when Favors hit RB-Brain Holloway with a screen pass that he turned into a 17-yard touchdown run. The Eagles took a 14-0 lead into the half. The second half provided a lot more action as Druid Hills made a strong comeback. Cromwell continued to fill the air with footballs as they cut the Columbia lead to 21-13. On the other side the loss really hurt Druid Hills as they drop to 3-4 and 1-3 in the division.
