Tears streamed down Croft's cheeks as she spoke on the phone Wednesday morning with Nicolette Owens, Shai's mother. "Mrs. Owens, I've already asked that the administrators clean out her locker for you," Croft said softly, her eyes turned skyward. "I will bring it to you. You don't even have to come up here. "The students are just devastated. They loved her," Croft told Shai's mother, who declined interviews Wednesday. Dozens of students and staff met with counselors Wednesday.
